CAD Technician Role

Sulzer is a leading engineering company with a rich history of innovation. We are seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our team at the Ellon facility.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Measure and inspect components to determine the optimal repair methods based on client requirements, using advanced measurement tools and software.
  • Conduct 3D scanning of components and produce accurate manufacturing drawings from scan data.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Quality Supervisor and Technical Quality department to assist with engineering upgrades and improvements.
  • Generate high-precision drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor software packages, ensuring efficiency and adherence to business needs.
  • Manage the drawing office and Equipment History record system to ensure the traceability of drawings and upgrades.
  • Create Bill of Materials (BOM) and component drawings for fabrication and complex component projects.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor software packages.
  • Experience with 3D scanning and component measurement techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and provide technical support.
  • Experience in a similar role within a workshop or engineering environment is advantageous.
