Quantitative Research Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Research Analyst to join our team at Capital Group. As a key member of our investment decision process, you will be responsible for conducting quantitative research and analysis to inform our investment decisions.

About the Role

As a Quantitative Research Analyst, you will engage with our investment professionals to develop and implement quantitative research and analysis to support our investment decisions. You will have a strong understanding of mathematical concepts, financial topics, and coding, and be able to apply this knowledge to develop and implement quantitative models and techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative research and analysis to inform investment decisions
  • Develop and implement quantitative models and techniques to support investment decisions
  • Collaborate with investment professionals to develop and implement research and analysis
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments and apply this knowledge to inform investment decisions

Requirements

  • Master of Science, Master of Economics, and/or a PhD in a mathematically robust discipline; econometrics, mathematical finance, statistics, physics, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in equity financial markets and analytics
  • Strong consulting and relationship-building skills and ability to engage with investment professionals
  • Experience modeling using Python, R, SQL or comparable languages
