Position: Independent School Teacher


A prestigious independent prep school is looking for a dedicated Independent School Teacher to join their collaborative and welcoming team on a full-time basis.

This intimate one-form entry independent prep school serves children aged 3 to 11 years.

The school operates in a bilingual setting, providing both French and English curricula.

They are currently seeking educators for their English curriculum classes and offer a range of extracurricular activities, complemented by excellent resources for their staff.

The classes are kept small, with a maximum of 15 students per class.

Role Overview:


As an Independent School Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality education to KS2 pupils, fostering a sense of excitement and enthusiasm for learning that encourages the pursuit of excellence.

You will create a supportive environment where students feel valued, promoting personal responsibility and effort.

Experience in preparing students for common entrance examinations is essential, as many students transition to selective independent schools.

The school maintains small class sizes, with a maximum of 15 pupils. While some lesson planning is required, the majority of the curriculum is pre-planned and will need adjustments based on student progress.


Qualifications for the Independent School Teacher Role:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess either a Bachelor of Education or a PGCE. Relevant experience is crucial, and while QTS and experience in a similar educational setting are preferred, they are not mandatory.
