Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled social worker to join our team as a Family Safeguarding Specialist. The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work, with a focus on family safeguarding and complex case management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of complex and high-risk families, providing expert social work and family support services.
- Provide professional supervision and guidance to junior social workers, promoting reflective practice and continuous professional development.
- Develop and implement effective assessment and intervention frameworks, ensuring the best possible outcomes for families.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including inter-agency partners and clients, to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Prepare and present court reports, providing expert testimony in Care or Private Order proceedings.
- Participate in panel processes and chair professional meetings, promoting effective communication and decision-making.
- Contribute to the development of management information and analysis, informing service planning and delivery.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant standards and frameworks, including the Social Work Professional Capabilities Framework (Experienced Social Worker level).
Requirements:
- QSW Status, including qualification, Social Work England registration, and completed ASYE.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in social work, with a focus on family safeguarding and complex case management.
- Right to work in the UK.
