Job Title: General Assistant/Kitchen Porter

We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible individual to join our Catering Department at Charterhouse as a General Assistant/Kitchen Porter. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to our students, staff, and guests 7 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food preparation, presentation, and service in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Work collaboratively with the catering team to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive dining experience.
  • Be flexible with working hours, including mornings and evenings, and be willing to work 5 out of 7 days.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role or within education catering is desirable.
  • Good health and safety knowledge and a flexible approach to work.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
