Job Summary

GE Aviation is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance and facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical safety and integrity of our equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Safety and Compliance: Ensure all electrical systems and equipment meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Control Panel Design and Installation: Design, build, and install electrical control panels, including documentation and testing.
  • Electrical System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including fault finding and diagnosis.
  • Building Management System (BMS) Support: Assist with the development and implementation of our BMS system, ensuring seamless integration with electrical systems.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Electrical Installation Apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge.
  • Strong experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Electrical Safety experience.
Desired Characteristics
  • Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills.
  • Good knowledge of PLC systems within an industrial environment.
  • Experience with Machinery Safety Legislation including PUWER.
  • Confined space trained.
  • HV Substation Awareness training.
  • IPAF.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Electrical Authorised Person trained.
  • Optical Fibre/Data testing and installation.
  • Working knowledge of Maximo CMMS.
  • 2391 Electrical Test and Inspection.
  • First Aid.
