Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary:

Platform Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturer of electro-mechanical machinery to recruit a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering robust and thoroughly tested mechanical design solutions, as well as leading development on new projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop new products from concept to production
  • Design and develop 3D CAD models
  • Prototype, test, and validate designs
  • Design mechanisms and components
  • Produce bills of materials
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve technical issues
  • Work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Requirements:

  • HNC or above in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience in bespoke machinery or capital equipment
  • Full product lifecycle experience
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Solidworks
  • Hands-on and practical experience with prototype and testing
  • Bonus skills: mechanisms, pneumatics, machinery, and precision design

Benefits:

The salary for this role will be between £50,000-£60,000, depending on experience. A generous benefits package is also available.
