About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Information Modelling (BIM) Manager to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our estates and facilities team, you will play a critical role in the effective use of BIM technology to transform our healthcare environments through data-driven design and construction.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert technical input into the Site Development Plan, Estate Development Programme, Future Hospital Programme, Decarbonisation Strategy, and Climate Change Adaptation Plan.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of BIM processes and standards across the NHS estate, working closely with project teams, architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Ensure the effective use of BIM technology throughout the design, construction, and maintenance phases of healthcare facilities.

Person Specification
  • Degree-level qualification in Building Services Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Building, Architectural, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Qualification (PRINCE 2).
  • Completion of a recognised leadership development training programme.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
Additional Criteria
  • Proven capability of implementing complex technical software solutions, including BIM 360, SharePoint, Power BI, and Revit.
  • Full understanding of estate management approach and robust knowledge of BIM, CAFM, CDE, Space Management, and FM processes and Asset Management.
