**Job Summary**

We are seeking a Senior/Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing geotechnical team in London. As a key member, you will work closely with the Geotechnics Lead to support and grow the team, collaborating with other office disciplines, including structural, civil, infrastructure, and bridge engineering, as well as independent geotechnical consultancy.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Independently drafting reports, specifications, testing regimes, and preparing site investigations.
  • Independently drafting proposals with attention to commercial aspects involved in quoting projects.
  • Managing projects from inception, including budgeting, resourcing, revenue recognition, and invoicing.

**Requirements**

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within an engineering consultancy or the construction industry, specifically with experience in geotechnical engineering or relevant fields.
  • Foundation solutions (e.g., deep foundations, rafts, piled rafts, etc.).
  • Retaining wall design and construction.
  • Competence in the use of MS Office, Plaxis 2D/3D, Settle 3D, and Sound.
  • Sound understanding of relevant engineering standards and guidelines.
  • Good ties with industry bodies and partners associated with geotechnics and foundations, and ideally, an existing client network.
  • Ability to manage projects commercially to achieve strong outcomes.
  • Experience working at different stages of project design (concept, schematic, detailed, execution).
  • An understanding of embodied carbon studies, decarbonisation of materials, and sustainability initiatives in construction.
