About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Hunter Mason Consulting Ltd. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of construction contracts and the administration of tendering, reviews, and negotiations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support the commercial team to ensure seamless working and communication.
  • Administer construction contracts, including tendering, reviews, negotiations, and change orders.
  • Oversee workforce management, subcontractor deployment, and timekeeping.
  • Meet with subcontractors to approve stage payments, including accurate take-offs and measurements.
  • Generate regular cost reports and forecasts to provide the Construction Manager and Directors with up-to-date financial information.
  • Maintain accurate records of all cost-related documents, contracts, invoices, payments, and correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively with the wider team and support the company in seeking best values in other areas.
Requirements
  • HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related subject.
  • Experience in the Fire Stopping/Passive Fire sector is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated, friendly, sociable, and driven individual with a full driving license.
  • Commercially aware and possessing a self-motivated personality.
  • Attention to detail with a right-first-time attitude and strong organisation and time management skills.
