We are seeking an experienced Imaging Technologist to join our Advanced Microscopy Facility in the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute, based in the Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Provide training and technical support to research staff and students on biological light microscopy
- Operate and maintain specialized imaging systems, troubleshoot issues with equipment, samples, and experimental design
- Keep up-to-date with the latest imaging methodologies, collaborating with researchers to optimize protocols and develop new techniques
- Contribute to facility management, deputizing for the Facility Manager, administering booking and recharge systems, and implementing safety and operational procedures
- Qualification to degree level or equivalent
- Extensive practical experience and specialist knowledge of confocal and widefield microscopy
- Strong IT and image analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships in a diverse environment
