About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Rayden Engineering Ltd, a leading Mechanical and Civil Engineering Company based in the East Midlands of England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the construction of various oil and gas pipeline and installation projects throughout the UK.
  • Ensure that each project meets its targets in terms of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Organise and lead the project team to execute works in accordance with the project programme.
  • Manage and monitor the works to ensure compliance with client specifications.
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the works are undertaken to everyone's satisfaction.
  • Maintain records and actively support the resolution of all construction issues.
  • Implement our positive health, safety, and environmental regime at all times.
  • Build positive and productive working relationships with clients, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
  • Check quality, health, and safety standards and correct where required.
  • Motivate team members to achieve predetermined goals and targets.
  • Be computer literate and a strong communicator, both written and verbally.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a HNC/HND in mechanical or civil engineering or equivalent and at least five years' experience of working in an engineering role.
  • A working knowledge of project management tools such as planning using Microsoft Project would be an advantage.
  • Minimum three years of verifiable and demonstrable mechanical and civil experience in the oil and gas industry, specific to above-ground installations (AGIs) and pipeline projects.
  • A successful track record of delivering projects on time and to budget, while meeting the customer's technical expectations.
  • Experience in project engineering and the management of design.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-oriented and fast-paced team environment, and also to provide strong leadership.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good commercial awareness, including knowledge of the NEC contract.
  • Production of detailed daily construction diaries.
  • The willingness and ability to 'roll up their sleeves,' work well amongst others, and knowledgeably deliver contractually and commercially.
