Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team at Harrison Scott Associates. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and repairing our client's Print and Finishing machinery, as well as performing general site maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Urgent Machine Breakdowns: Prioritise and respond effectively to urgent machine breakdowns, performing electrical/mechanical repairs as necessary.
  2. General Maintenance: Undertake general, routine, and preventative maintenance/checks of all equipment.
  3. Fault-Finding and Troubleshooting: Complete machine fault-finding and troubleshooting, as necessary, to reach a prompt resolution.
  4. Training and Development: Train production colleagues, as required, in basic machine maintenance.
  5. Site Maintenance: Perform general ad-hoc site maintenance.
  6. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards.
Requirements:
  1. Qualifications: An electrical/mechanical qualification and a demonstrable background in a similar role.
  2. Experience: Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
  3. Industry Knowledge: Knowledge/experience of working within the print industry would be highly advantageous.
  4. Organisational Skills: The organisational skills to prioritise and manage daily workload.
  5. Initiative and Problem-Solving: The ability to use own initiative and 'think outside of the box' to identify solutions.
  6. Multi-Tasking: Skills to multi-task and work to tight deadlines whilst ensuring high standards/health & safety compliance is maintained.
  7. Logic and Reasoning: Logic and reasoning to identify solutions to fault-find and troubleshoot.
  8. Flexibility: The flexibility on start and finish times to respond to machine breakdowns.

Working Hours: The opportunity is offered on a 40-hour per week shift pattern, Monday – Friday: 6:00am-14:30pm and 13:30-22:00pm, with on-call duties every other weekend.
