Healthcare Assistant - Radiology and Outpatients
We are currently seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to support our Outpatients Department within Ramsay Health Care.
Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will play a vital role in a team focused on achieving exceptional clinical outcomes in a nurturing environment. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering top-tier care and services, with the backing of one of the UK's leading private healthcare organizations, which is committed to your ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
You will assist the Radiology Department with daily operations, including patient interactions, procedural support, necessary documentation, and ensuring the efficient functioning of the department.
Your role will require excellent communication skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service, adhering to all organizational policies and procedures to guarantee optimal clinical results for patients. You will embody the values of Ramsay Health Care, promoting a culture of compassion and care.
Duties Include:
- Organizing ultrasound workloads, including patient charging and chaperoning when necessary, while managing all related paperwork.
- Assisting radiographers in preparing patients for imaging procedures.
- Supporting the setup for various procedures as needed.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the department.
- Helping manage stock levels for linens and consumables.
- Collaborating with radiographers and other staff as required.
- Rotating between Radiology and Outpatients Departments as necessary.
- Responding to incidents within the unit and documenting accurately.
- Ensuring compliance with local policies and procedures.
- Prioritizing the safety of patients and staff, reporting any incidents to management.
- Utilizing equipment safely and effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
- NVQ Level 2 or willingness to train to this level
- A compassionate and empathetic demeanor
- Strong decision-making abilities and initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A flexible and positive approach
- A commitment to providing exceptional patient-focused service
