Energy Sector Expert

**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Energy Industry Analyst to join our team at Chronos Energy. As a key member of our Energy Intelligence team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success by providing accurate, critical, and timely data.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Measure and Monitor Plant Performance**: Utilize your expertise to measure, monitor, and report on plant physical performance, including thermal and cooling efficiencies, electrical efficiencies, operational regimes, and plant outputs.
- **Data Collection and Analysis**: Maintain and develop data collection to enable effective internal and external reporting, and investigate and improve all system losses, including thermal and electrical losses, parasitic loads, etc.
- **Energy Efficiency and Financial Performance**: Report on energy efficiency and financial performance of energy sales, and analyze and model energy schemes trends and performance to diagnose and recommend rectification to ensure consistent and efficient energy delivery.
- **Energy Revenues and Costs**: Calculate and peer review energy revenues and costs, and support training for Graduates.
- **Hedging and Procurement**: Actively manage hedging and procurement, comparing energy purchase, use, and consumption to deliver maximum efficiency and best value.
- **Energy Optimisation Models**: Manage energy optimisation models that integrate with operational planning and financial processes.
- **Data Review and Management**: Carry out regular review of Junifer data and compare with the EI team bulk data, and monitor and manage C3ntinel data for gaps, spikes, and issues.
- **Performance Assessment and Improvement**: Assess the current performance of energy schemes and recommend improvement changes and upgrades, and perform variance to budget analysis.
- **Energy Budgeting**: Lead the formation of energy budgets, and carry out thermal and electrical balances to identify and rectify any imbalances.
**Requirements**
- **Minimum 2 years' relevant experience**
- **Qualified to a minimum 2:1 degree level in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent Engineering Discipline**
- **Demonstrable competence in the use of Microsoft Excel**
- **Understanding of district energy and CHP principles**
- **Heating and cooling system design knowledge, including a range of generation systems (CHP, Biomass, Boilers, etc.)**
