About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Relief Farm Manager to provide cover for Farm Managers/Assistant Farm Managers, ensuring sufficient cover to manage farms to required standards. The successful candidate will gain a good working knowledge of each farm and understand poultry operations within Pilgrim's Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor environmental systems, feed, water, and lighting patterns within agreed guidelines to ensure the highest quality environment for poultry.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all matters relating to poultry, food, and suppliers, ensuring an adequate supply is maintained and controlled to acceptable levels.
  • Coordinate the work of other individuals to ensure the continuous working of each farm.
  • Supervise and manage farm assistants, ensuring they can carry out their daily duties effectively.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene processes are adhered to, with animal welfare being at the forefront.
  • Manage alarms and respond to call-outs as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with supervisory and people management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions.
  • Full driving licence to travel to individual farms, with a work van provided.
  • Level 3 qualification Poultry Passport.
  • Previous involvement in field (Broilers) and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Budget management and people management skills.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
