Position Summary:

Creative Personnel is looking for a dedicated and skilled Audio Visual Technician. The ideal candidate will be tasked with the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio and visual systems for a variety of events and installations. This role demands a meticulous approach, strong technical expertise, and exceptional customer service skills.

Primary Duties:

  • Installation and Operation:
  • Configure, install, and manage audio, video, and lighting systems for live events, corporate meetings, and other gatherings.
  • Set up and evaluate microphones, speakers, video displays, projectors, recording devices, sound mixing consoles, and other related equipment.
  • Maintenance and Technical Support:
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on AV systems to guarantee peak performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical challenges with AV equipment promptly.
  • Keep an organized inventory of AV tools and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Event Assistance:
  • Deliver on-site technical support during events to facilitate seamless AV operations.
  • Work closely with event planners to comprehend AV needs and offer expert recommendations on optimal solutions.
  • Ensure all AV installations comply with safety standards and organizational protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
  • A diploma or degree in Audio Engineering, Media Production, Electronics, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as an AV Technician or in a comparable position, ideally within a live event or corporate setting.
  • Technical Proficiencies:
  • Skilled in the configuration and management of AV systems, including soundboards, mixers, microphones, projectors, and lighting solutions.
  • Solid understanding of signal flow and AV networking principles.
  • Experience in troubleshooting AV systems and equipment.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by event schedules.

Physical Demands:

  • Capacity to lift and transport heavy AV equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods.
