Job Summary

Vertical Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior to Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team in central Manchester. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building services and experience working with multidisciplinary consultancy teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with design teams to deliver projects from feasibility to completion.
  • Work closely with clients, structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Attend project and technical meetings to ensure compliance with legislative and safety standards.
  • Advise on energy conservation and environmental impact reduction.
  • Design site-specific equipment and review contractor proposals.
  • Manage a team of engineers, including graduates and assistants.
  • Utilize CAD and BIM tools, such as Revit, Trimble, and Dialux, to design project-specific systems.

Requirements

  • A degree in Building Services or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a consultancy role.
  • Chartered or working towards chartered engineer status.
  • Strong communication skills to bridge complex issues between clients and project teams.
  • Technical proficiency with design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Amtech.
