In this role, reporting directly to the Enterprise Development Manager (Business Gateway), the Senior Business Consultant will be tasked with delivering Business Gateway services across the Lanarkshire region on behalf of both North and South Lanarkshire Council.
The Senior Business Consultant will oversee the growth and management of a diverse portfolio that includes high-potential start-ups, established business clients, and more intricate non-growth business cases. Additionally, this role involves mentoring and guiding Business Advisors to enhance their skills and professional development. Collaborating within a team environment, the Senior Consultant will engage with the local business community, various Council services, partners, stakeholders, funders, and business organizations to actively promote North and South Lanarkshire as a prime location for business operations, investment, employment, and events.
Candidates should possess a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field and have significant experience in managing their own business or holding a senior position within a business setting. Strong organizational abilities and excellent communication skills are essential, along with a high level of personal motivation and drive to achieve key objectives aligned with the Business Gateway's mission.
You will be joining a dynamic and adaptable team that currently operates under a hybrid working model, combining home and office-based work.
