Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at LTF Recruitment. The successful candidate will work with a reception child who has been diagnosed with ASD and is preverbal, providing 1:1 support in a long-term role with the potential to become permanent.

About the Role:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a reception child with ASD, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring the child's needs are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of the child's progress and development.

Requirements:
  • Level 2/3 supporting teaching and learning in schools or relevant qualification required.
  • Strong experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis, particularly those with ASD.
  • Knowledge of the UK EYFS primary curriculum and experience of supporting SEN (ASD, Speech, Language & Communication needs).
  • Good team player, able to work with other staff and under direction of class teacher.
