About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  1. Route Optimization: Allocate drivers to routes and vehicles to minimize costs and ensure timely delivery.
  2. Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties, such as traffic management and data entry, with high accuracy and professionalism.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with line managers to ensure effective use of resources, communicate with drivers and customers, and escalate issues as necessary.
  4. Legislative Compliance: Ensure all traffic planning activities are conducted in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  5. Team Support: Support the management team in developing colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements
  1. Desirable Qualifications: CPC* certification, working knowledge of driver hours regulations, and experience in a transport/logistics organization.
  2. Key Skills: Good geographical knowledge of the UK, knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, financial understanding, operational understanding of team roles, effective communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
