Job Title: Care Home Deputy Manager

Job Summary:

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of a 4-bed EBD Children's Home in Wellingborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the safeguarding of young people's welfare, participating in the on-call roster, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and contractual requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Support the Home Manager in managing the residential home, ensuring it meets all relevant legislative and contractual requirements, including the health and educational needs of young people.
  • Interagency Collaboration: Liaise with other departments and external agencies to ensure young people receive appropriate plans, programmes, and support in the home to aid their rehabilitation into the community and meet contractual requirements.
  • Staff Development: Coach, support, and develop staff, including supervision, to maximize their performance and ensure high standards of care, values, ethical standards, equality, and diversity, policies, and procedures are met.
  • Financial Management: Assist in budget preparation and manage and control budgets to meet financial parameters.

Requirements:

  • Managerial Experience: Managerial experience within a similar environment.
  • Residential Care Experience: 2 years of residential care experience.
  • Driving License: Full driving license.
  • DBS: Enhanced DBS.
