Job Title: Band 4 Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Band 4 Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at CWP. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing mental health services to children and young people in Wirral schools.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our team to deliver high-quality mental health services to children and young people. As a Band 4 Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for working with children and young people, their families, and schools to provide mental health support and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with children and young people to identify and address mental health needs
  • Develop and implement mental health interventions and support plans
  • Collaborate with schools, families, and other professionals to provide comprehensive mental health services
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A relevant undergraduate degree in a field such as psychology, social work, or education
  • Experience of working with children and young people, particularly in a mental health setting
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent development and the role of the family in supporting children's emotional well-being
  • Understanding of systems and contexts in which children and young people live
  • Ability to identify common mental health problems in children and young people
  • Understanding of the importance of collecting feedback from children, young people, and parents
