Spire Healthcare is excited to present an opportunity for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Surgical Ward team as a Surgical Care Assistant. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Registered Nurses to deliver exceptional pre-operative and post-operative care to a diverse patient population.

We understand the importance of work-life balance and are pleased to offer flexible working arrangements. However, candidates must be prepared to work a combination of days, nights, and weekends (with additional pay for unsociable hours). Please apply only if you can meet this requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the surgical ward team in delivering outstanding patient care Assisting in the monitoring and support of patients Recognizing and reporting any significant changes in a patient's condition to the appropriate personnel Aiding in the safe movement of patients in accordance with hospital protocols Coordinating with other departments and healthcare professionals on a daily basis

Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant (or equivalent) in a surgical setting Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Proficient in performing ECGs, blood sampling, blood pressure monitoring, and patient observations NVQ Level 3 is advantageous but not mandatory
