About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber to join our team at Practice Plus Group. As a Senior Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber, you will play a key role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with substance misuse issues
  • Deliver a range of treatment options, including clinical and psychosocial interventions, to support patients in achieving recovery
  • Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects, and make adjustments as necessary
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (Mental Health or Adult Nurse) with current professional qualification (NMC)
  • Prescribing qualification in Substance Misuse (SMS)
  • RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake
  • Experience of working with opiate-dependent patients
  • Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge
