About The Role:
As a key member of our team, reporting to the Senior Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for testing, calibrating, operating, and repairing a variety of electrical, mechanical, and electronic measuring instruments within our Instrument Solutions laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to procedures outlined in the quality manual.
- Conduct traceable and UKAS accredited calibrations in accordance with ISO 9001 and BS EN ISO/IEC 17025 quality systems (following training).
- Generate calibration and test certificates.
- Diagnose instrument faults and perform minor repairs.
- Consult with clients regarding instrument usage, repairs, and replacements.
- Provide in-house demonstrations of product usage as needed.
- Assist the internal sales team with technical inquiries.
- Test, calibrate, and maintain hire stock instruments and client equipment to ensure compliance with performance standards.
- Collaborate with team members to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Manage your own professional development and skills enhancement.
- Perform any other duties relevant to the role.
About You:
Required Skills:
- Experience in a calibration laboratory, preferably under ISO 9001 standards.
- Methodical approach with strong practical and diagnostic skills.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Numeracy and literacy skills for calculations and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to continuous technical knowledge and skill development.
