About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at CILEX Law School. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our HR strategy and providing expert advice on people policies and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that align with the organization's business objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on employment law, HR policies, and best practices to managers and employees.
  • Manage and coordinate HR administration, including payroll, employee data, and benefits.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with employees, managers, and stakeholders to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Conduct investigations and provide recommendations on employee relations matters, including grievances and disciplinary procedures.
  • Support the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and workshops on HR-related topics, such as employment law, diversity and inclusion, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication on HR-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in employment law and regulations, and provide guidance and support to the organization on compliance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a similar industry or sector.
  • CIPD level 5 or a commitment to pursuing certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex HR concepts to non-HR professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, such as SAGE, and other HR software applications.
  • Knowledge of employment law, regulations, and best practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
