Senior Auditor Opportunity at East Suffolk Council

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Auditor to join our Audit Team at East Suffolk Council. As a Senior Auditor, you will play a key role in preparing and undertaking audits, assisting in the delivery of good governance across our Internal Audit Services partnerships.

About the Role
  • Prepare and undertake audits to ensure the effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes.
  • Assist in the delivery of good governance across our Internal Audit Services partnerships.
  • Work closely with our teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the Council's financial and operational stability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders, including Council members, officers, and external partners.

Requirements
  • 3 years' proven relevant experience within the public sector auditing (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience of working within a risk-based auditing environment and a good understanding of risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
