About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of a 25m new build industrial warehouse in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of the project, adhering to all relevant regulations, and managing documentation and progress reports for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chair regular site meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination among team members.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and sub-contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Report and work closely with the Project Director to ensure project goals are met.
  • Coordinate tasks among various construction phases to ensure timely completion.
  • Handle any arising issues or conflicts throughout the project duration.
  • Keep track of project expenditures, remaining within budget constraints.
  • Oversee workmanship and materials to verify they align with project standards.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and policies during all work operations.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Recognise possible threats to the project, implementing strategies to address them.
  • Monitor resources, such as equipment and materials, ensuring they are used efficiently.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams, assuring they are motivated and focused.
  • Coordinate across multiple trades to uphold a smooth workflow and achieve timely completion.
  • Manage daily site activities, overseeing the supervision of workers, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
  • Create comprehensive project plans, encompassing schedules, resource allocation, and financial outlines.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between project team, clients, and stakeholders, delivering frequent progress updates.
  • Manage resources such as materials, equipment, and labor to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively.
  • Keep accurate records of all aspects of the project, including contracts, permits, change orders, and correspondence.
  • Organize and supervise inspections conducted by regulatory authorities, ensuring necessary corrections or adjustments are promptly addressed.
  • Foster and sustain positive client relationships by addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the project's progress.
Requirements
  • SMSTS certification.
  • First Aid certification.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Strong history of working as a Site Manager or a similar position on new build projects in the industrial sector with build values in excess of 10m.
  • Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience in managing construction teams across various sectors/projects.
