Shift Pattern: 16 to 24 hours (including Sleep-in) on a one on two off or two on four off schedule.
While each day at CareTech Group is unique, here’s an example of what a day in the life of a Lead Care Support Specialist might entail:
- Leading shifts and stepping in for the Registered Manager as needed
- Ensuring our dedicated team of Residential Care Workers are current with all mandatory training and supporting their professional growth
- Collaborating with the on-site team to raise awareness regarding individual care plans and their execution
- Maintaining precise written records in logs, continuation sheets, and files to facilitate regular monitoring and evaluation
- Participating in team and staff meetings to promote effective communication and staff development
- Providing care and support to the young individuals within our services
- Encouraging our young people in their journey back to education or engagement in their current schooling
- Accompanying our young individuals to and from School or College
- Preparing meals and maintaining the living environment (cleaning, laundry, etc.) to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for the young people in our care
- Organizing and facilitating social activities

Requirements:
Must possess a full UK driving license.
Must be committed to obtaining a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification in the Children & Young People's workforce.
A minimum of 12 months of senior experience in a Residential setting is highly desirable, but we also welcome applications from those at the beginning of their career journey.
DBS and reference checks will be conducted in accordance with government regulations and best practices for safer recruitment.
While we strive to keep the recruitment process efficient due to the nature of these essential checks, it may extend the processing time.
