Mechanical Contracts Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Contracts Manager to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment, a leading technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare cost estimates and pricing for new mechanical projects
  • Manage and coordinate mechanical contracts, including amendments and variations
  • Review technical drawings and specifications to create materials lists
  • Ensure SLAs are met, and maintain regular contact with customers
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are met across the department
  • Manage labour, including direct and sub-contractors
Requirements:
  • Technical background in the HVAC industry, ideally in heating or plumbing
  • Experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success
  • Based within commutable distance to West Wiltshire
  • Previous design experience is advantageous
  • HNC in building services is desirable
  • SMSTS is desirable
Remuneration:
  • Basic salary £50,000 to £55,000, depending on experience
  • Company car or car allowance
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Company phone and laptop
  • Working hours - 7:30am - 5pm
