The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial management support to our stakeholders, including regulatory and financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow and hedging management, and financial risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly financial statements to Group finance, supporting month end and annual accounts close.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare monthly KPIs and margin analysis, and provide robust financial analysis to new business opportunities.
- Statutory Accounts: Coordinate and prepare annual statutory accounts.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and submit annual budgets and quarterly/monthly forecasts.
- Internal Reporting: Prepare internal reports for the senior leadership team.
- Tax Analysis: Coordinate preparation of tax analysis for P11D's and PSA returns.
- Accounting Operations: Manage accounting operations involved in day-to-day finance department with the Senior AP Manager.
- Team Management: Manage, develop, and mentor management accountants and trainee management accountants.
- Control and Risk Management: Develop and risk assess all controls and procedures for UK Sox compliance.
- Treasury Function: Manage treasury function and cash management, including processing of FX hedging, cash flow monitoring, and compliance in domestic and global currency payment processing.
- Capex Budget Management: Manage capex budget and reporting.
- VAT Returns: Prepare UK VAT returns quarterly and recover foreign VAT.
- Audit Requirements: Manage external and internal audit requirements.
- Group Tax Queries: Assist with Group Tax Queries.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Senior Accounting Experience: Previous experience in accounting at a senior level.
- Chartered Qualification: Chartered qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CIPFA).
- Commercial Experience: Experience in a commercial environment would be an advantage.
- Business Partnership: Able to business partner and build relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Team Management: Good experience in managing and developing teams.
- Systems and Software: Systems and software experience - Excel, Sage, Business Central, Opera, Jet reporting, Power BI, and O365 suite.
