Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Consultant with extensive experience in COBOL, JCL, and IMS to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with essential stakeholders to gather requirements and define application architecture.
- Contribute to the creation of high-level design documents and deliver quality code for various modules.
- Lead validation processes for diverse testing types and support implementation and transition activities.
- Foster a collaborative environment that values teamwork, excellence, and diversity.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven domain expertise in Trade Finance, Loans, Accounting, or Customer Maintenance applications.
- A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with batch and online applications on IBM Mainframe.
- Proficient in languages such as COBOL and JCL.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with tools such as TSO/ISPF, SPUFI, FILE-AID, and IBM MQ.
- Experience with databases like IMSDB and operating systems including Z-OS.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, particularly Agile.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of Agile and Mainframe certifications.
Personal Attributes:
- Strong analytical skills and a high degree of initiative.
- Excellent customer orientation and quality awareness.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
