Bristol, Bristol, United Kingdom Turner & Townsend Full time
Position Overview

As a key player in project management, you will leverage your expertise in significant capital initiatives or extensive portfolios across sectors such as infrastructure, real estate, energy & natural resources, and defense.

Our clientele consists of 'project enterprises' dedicated to the execution of a diverse array of physical assets, including but not limited to rail systems, airports (infrastructure), data centers, manufacturing plants (real estate), offshore renewable energy projects, and naval vessels (defense).

Your mission is to revolutionize our clients' methodologies in project-programme-portfolio management (P3M) through the application of innovative digital solutions.

By merging your insights into effective project 'operating procedures' with your understanding of P3M technologies, you will enhance successful project outcomes and maximize investment returns for our clients.

We are on the lookout for skilled professionals at the consultant, senior consultant, or principal consultant levels, who believe their experience and skills can facilitate digital transformations for our clients by implementing and integrating applications and data that underpin effective project management and controls.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will be expected to:

  • Evaluate existing challenges and identify client needs;
  • Implement or enhance established P3M methodologies, processes, tools, and systems to enable clients to achieve their project objectives;
  • Facilitate the integration of changes within client organizations by supporting stakeholder engagement and readiness initiatives;
  • Continuously refine our advisory services;
  • Generate documents, deliverables, and reports to substantiate findings and recommendations throughout various phases of client engagements;
  • Collaborate within diverse, multidisciplinary teams representing Turner & Townsend at client locations and in virtual settings;
  • Engage in various business development activities such as proposals and bids, working closely with senior management and the broader Turner & Townsend team;
  • Support marketing and social media initiatives (employee advocacy) as appropriate;

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess experience and qualifications aligned with the following criteria, though we welcome enthusiastic and ambitious individuals from all backgrounds eager to pursue a successful consulting career focused on enabling clients to achieve their goals:

  • Graduate-level education with relevant industry experience;
  • Experience in establishing or transforming project 'operating procedures';
  • Experience in specifying or implementing project controls or P3M technologies;
  • Experience with significant capital initiatives or extensive portfolios;
  • Familiarity with core project controls functions (scope, schedule, cost, risk, performance reporting);
  • Experience in establishing or changing business capabilities;
  • APM, PMI, or similar certification or equivalent experience is advantageous;

Key Attributes and Work Style

Expected behaviors and work style include:

  • Taking personal accountability for completing tasks and resolving issues;
  • Building strong, professional relationships with internal and client stakeholders;
  • Exhibiting an analytical mindset;
  • Communicating ideas clearly and concisely, focusing on key points;
  • Listening effectively to understand broader issues and their impact;
  • Demonstrating determination to achieve set goals;
  • Maintaining resilience in the face of challenges or setbacks;
