Class 1 Tramper Driver Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team at Gregory Group. As a Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering customers' products throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver customers' products in a timely and efficient manner.
- Complete paperwork using a handheld PDA.
- Interact with customers in person and via phone to ensure excellent customer service.
- Stay in touch with the transport team for progress updates and manage customer expectations.
- This role may involve overnight stays.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Must possess a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
- Experience in driving walking floor and curtain sider vehicles is preferred.
- Holding a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Prior experience in delivering loads directly to client sites is beneficial.
- Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines.
- Confidence, politeness, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Strong knowledge of geographical areas.
- Due to the job requirements, candidates must be physically fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
