Your Role...

As a Lighting Technician, you will collaborate closely with the Lead Electrician to maintain, upgrade, and install electrical systems within our studio. Your expertise will ensure that our facilities are always operating at peak performance while adhering to safety standards.

In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also assist with various maintenance tasks, working as part of a cohesive facilities team.

Key Responsibilities...

  • Execute planned and reactive maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical systems through the Building Management System (BMS).
  • Perform minor installations and modifications to existing electrical systems.
  • Respond to emergencies with the goal of implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to health and safety legislation and best practices during all maintenance activities.
  • Provide out-of-hours electrical support for studio clients.
  • Offer guidance and support to contractors working on-site.
  • Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts and tools assigned to you.

Qualifications & Skills...

  • Fully qualified 'Approved Electrician' with relevant certifications.
  • Knowledge of the 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations.
  • Familiarity with Electricity Supply Regulations and the Electricity at Work Act.
  • Possession of a JIB/ECS card.
  • Experience in inspecting and testing electrical systems is advantageous.
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification.
  • Proficient in the use and maintenance of site plant equipment.
  • Training in the operation of trailers and forklifts is a plus.
  • Understanding of the Building Management System (BMS) is beneficial.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard hours as needed.
  • Valid UK driving license.

Work Schedule...

This position requires a commitment to a 40-hour work week on a rotating shift basis, including evenings and weekends. You will also be expected to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.
