At GEODIS Logistics LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless movement of goods worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor service calls to observe employee demeanor, technical accuracy, and conformity to company policies and standardized work.
  • Recommend corrective action to adjust customer complaints.
  • Prepare work schedules and training for hourly employees.
  • Approve and track all hourly team members' work schedules via UNITIME.
  • Support Senior Transportation Planners and Transportation Planners during contingencies for securing trucks for multiple customers while being cost-conscious and following business rules.
  • Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of freight bills.
  • Audit all invoices and assist the central billing team with all discrepancy investigation.
  • Manage customer's requirements for load planning and routing compliance.
  • Establish cross-training initiatives within the team.
  • Assist manager with team member performance appraisals, discipline, and goal-setting.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years related experience and training.
  • PC literate to include Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
