Your Role: Health, Safety & Wellbeing LeadAs our Health, Safety & Wellbeing Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our workforce throughout AMP8. You will advise and support senior management and project teams on all matters related to health, safety, and wellbeing, promoting a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure a safe working environment at all times. Investigate incidents, reports, and learning outcomes, communicating findings to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Develop central alliance procedures and policies that align with our strategy and comply with partner and industry safety regulations.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current legislation, best practices, and statutory requirements. Stay informed about new and forthcoming changes in the field.
- Work with other teams to implement agreed inspection systems, ensuring each construction site is inspected monthly (including but not limited to CSIR, CQIR, CEIR).
- Enhance H&S awareness through training, briefings, presentations, initiatives, events, and toolbox talks. Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of workplace safety and wellbeing.
- Lead and manage a team to ensure they are adequately resourced, motivated, and equipped to deliver a first-class Health, Safety & Wellbeing program across the alliance.
You possess substantial experience in H&S management within a design and construction environment. You hold NEBOSH Diploma and Graduate IOSH or higher membership level qualifications. Your expertise extends to managing people and processes, with an open, honest, and clear communication style. You are passionate about the safety and wellbeing of your colleagues and have a proven track record of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
