About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our care team, providing 24-hour care and support to Verity, a young woman with an acquired brain injury.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to Verity, including hoisting, bathing, and dressing
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and medication management
  • Support Verity in engaging in social activities, such as watching TV and going out
  • Communicate effectively with Verity using non-verbal methods, such as body language and facial expressions
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure continuity of care and support
Requirements
  • Experience in care and support work, preferably with individuals with acquired brain injuries
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Verity using non-verbal methods
  • Physical ability to lift and move Verity safely
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide support to colleagues
