Job Summary

The Respiratory Physiology department at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly experienced Chief Respiratory Physiologist to lead our team on a permanent, full-time basis. Main Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive lung function testing, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
  • Conduct a range of respiratory diagnostic tests, including spirometry, gas transfer, static lung volumes, and bronchodilator response testing.
  • Provide expert analysis and clinical interpretation of test results, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Identify and rectify equipment faults, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Communicate complex information to patients and their carers, ensuring clear understanding of test results and outcomes.
  • Lead on the production of the monthly divisional performance report, providing valuable insights for business meetings.
