Public Sector Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager

Grant Thornton UK LLP is a leading professional services firm that provides audit, tax, and advisory services to public sector organizations. We are seeking an experienced Public Sector Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager to join our team.
About the RoleAs a Public Sector Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert accounting and financial reporting services to our public sector clients. This will include:
- Providing technical accounting and financial reporting advice to clients
- Leading and managing projects to deliver high-quality accounting and financial reporting services
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Contributing to the development of new services and business opportunities
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA)
- Post-qualification experience in the delivery of external audit to local authorities and health bodies or from within a local government or health finance function
- Excellent grasp of IFRS accounting standards and their implementation in the public sector
- Excellent knowledge of financial reporting in the public sector
- Project management experience
