Senior Programme Lead, Insurance Technology

Location: London/Hybrid

Compensation: Approximately £125k plus bonus & comprehensive benefits

An accomplished Senior Programme Lead is sought by a prominent insurance organization.

This role has been established to manage the revitalization and cloud integration of their primary global insurance platform. You will play a crucial role in steering the transformation of essential systems to improve operational effectiveness, scalability, and client satisfaction. This position involves leading a diverse group of internal and external personnel, ensuring effective stakeholder communication, and maintaining rigorous financial oversight throughout the project's duration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the comprehensive redevelopment and Cloud integration of the insurance platform
  • Create and uphold detailed project timelines
  • Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams, promoting a collaborative atmosphere to meet programme objectives
  • Ensure the team accurately defines requirements and specifications, testing, and implementation strategies
  • Identify and manage potential risks and challenges to minimize their impact on project success
  • Facilitate discussions regarding critical programme risk areas, including design considerations and scope management

Essential Qualifications:

  • Background in software development with expertise in .Net, DevOps, and JavaScript (React or Angular)
  • Familiarity with Cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and deployment methodologies
  • Comprehensive understanding of contemporary IT infrastructure, software development life cycle (SDLC), and DevOps methodologies
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance systems and their operational needs
  • Prince2 or PMI - PMP certification and/or Certified Scrum Master designation is preferred
