**About the Role**

Wood is a leading provider of engineering design and project delivery services for energy transition infrastructure. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Designer to join our team and work on a contract basis for a Clean Energy project involving an offshore windfarm substation.

**Project Overview**

The initial role is to work on a Clean Energy project for an offshore windfarm substation. This project requires a high level of technical expertise and experience in relevant industry sectors.

**Key Responsibilities**

As a Senior Structural Designer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing structural solutions for offshore windfarm substations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet client requirements and industry standards
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior team members
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry developments

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Engineering Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Civil Engineering experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector
  • Knowledge of E3D and relevant industry software
  • Experience working in a team environment and ability to work independently when required
  • Aptitude to extend working knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Co-operative attitude and effective communication skills
