As a People Operations Consultant, you will deliver comprehensive HR advisory services and support throughout the organization on various personnel, strategic, and operational issues as necessary. Your role will involve providing guidance, support, and coaching in accordance with legal and regulatory business requirements, while promoting best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with organizational leaders to assist in the effective implementation of business strategies, fostering a culture that emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and a respectful workplace.
- Establish a supportive environment as a proponent of HR initiatives, employee advocacy, and assist in organizational design, employee development, talent assessment, and succession planning as needed.
- Advance the people strategy and associated processes (performance management, leadership development, and succession planning) to ensure that employee performance and capabilities align with the current and future needs of the organization.
- Partner with HR colleagues to create and execute HR processes and policies that provide a framework for ongoing business growth and success.
- Ensure alignment of HR metrics with business objectives and drive enhancements in service delivery to support key organizational initiatives.
- Offer guidance and advice on legislative, regulatory, and compliance matters, including company policies and procedures, to achieve business goals and maintain consistency across functions.
- Proactively identify business and HR objectives; develop, manage, or engage in project teams as appropriate to achieve desired outcomes efficiently.
- Lead and facilitate all employee engagement initiatives for the organization, including but not limited to employee surveys, recognition programs, mentoring, and union interactions.
- Stay informed about legislation affecting all aspects of human resources and update management as necessary.
- Provide counsel on a wide range of issues and opportunities, including the investigation and resolution of employee relations matters.
- Ensure that Human Resources administrative tasks are carried out effectively.
Essential Qualifications / Experience / Skills
- Experience in HR within a complex organization (preferably in the Engineering sector), with diverse cultures and operational settings.
- In-depth knowledge of HR policies and processes (e.g., workforce planning and talent management).
- Strong experience in Change Management.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience / Skills
- Preferably CIPD level 5 qualified or a Chartered member or actively pursuing this qualification.
