Job Summary:

Qualiteach Ltd is seeking an experienced science technician to join our team at a mainstream secondary academy in Rochdale. As a science technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the science department and ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and clearing away equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Assisting science teachers with practical science experiments and demonstrations.
  • Ensuring all aspects of health and safety are adhered to, including the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Managing stock control and ensuring all equipment is stored safely and securely.
  • Supporting the science department and head of science as needed, including providing administrative assistance and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service.
  • Ability to commit to a long-term contract, working 5 days per week.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
