As we expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled technician to perform both scheduled and on-demand maintenance tasks across various locations within a designated area.


The primary objective of this position is to execute non-technical repairs and minor planned preventive maintenance (PPM) at multiple sites.


All tasks will be carried out with utmost efficiency and cost-effectiveness, adhering strictly to Health and Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Review and comply with updated company documentation as necessary.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Inform the management team of any maintenance issues that could disrupt operations.
  • Complete all necessary PPM tasks, ensuring accurate logging and compliance with legal standards.
  • Respond promptly to service requests, assessing job requirements and executing repairs as needed.
  • Prioritize and finalize minor maintenance tasks within agreed timelines.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks are available and in good working condition.
  • Order necessary spare parts to facilitate both planned and reactive repairs, coordinating with management to minimize disruption.
  • Assist multi-skilled technicians when requested by management.
  • Complete mandatory training and eLearning modules to align personal skills with job requirements.
  • Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain established quality standards.
  • Document all tasks in accordance with agreed processes and training.
  • Assist other teams as needed.
  • Ensure all costs are pre-approved.
  • Maintain accurate time sheets as per company processes.
  • Update the job management system with live job statuses.
  • Identify issues that cannot be repaired and provide timely recommendations for alternatives.
  • Collaborate with project teams on facility modifications and improvements.
  • Conduct surveys and prepare reports as required by business needs.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of HVAC systems, including air filters and belt adjustments.
  • Ensure all systems are safely shut down and restarted, maintaining optimal performance.
  • Comply with any reasonable requests from management.
Qualifications:

  • GCSE standard education.
  • Building Trade Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds).
  • Experience in general building repairs.
  • Ability to maintain and repair various building structures and equipment.
  • Proficient in using PC/iPad.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience in plumbing and sanitary maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Positive customer service orientation.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable.
  • Ability to work at heights and use ladders safely.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Desirable: Time-served apprenticeship with relevant qualifications.
  • Training in water regulations and Legionella control.
  • Experience in retail environments.
