Investment Data Analyst – Asset Allocation (Front Office Investment Data Analyst role)

Martis Search is representing a global Asset Management company to hire a permanent "Data Analyst – Asset Allocation (Front Office Investment Data Analyst role)". The role is a fantastic opportunity for a bright and numerate graduate to join a small "Investment Analyst" team and contribute to the company's investment strategy.

The Role

The team is responsible for "Data Analytics" in "Asset Allocation", meaning they analyse all Investment Data for all the company's Funds across global geographical locations. The Investment Data helps shape and defines the company's investment strategy, and the CIO and Fund Management/ Portfolio Management team use the Data provided by this specific team to make their investment decisions.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for interpreting Investment Data, writing reports on the data findings, and making recommendations to the investment teams and CIO. This involves a lot of "Financial Modelling" of complex Investment Data using coding languages such as Python, VBA, SQL etc.

Requirements

The company is looking for a bright and numerate graduate with either an "analytical" focused experience, either:

  • An Internship/ Sandwich year within Private Equity, or Asset Management preferably, or any type of related Financial Services type company.

OR

  • 6-month's – 2-years' experience in Data Analysis, or as an "Investment Analyst", or something Analytical within Financial Services (Private Equity, or Asset Management preferably, or any type of related Financial Services type company).

What We Offer

The company offers a hybrid mix of working-from-home and also in-the-office, so you get the best of both worlds. The salary is £49,000 k pa - £57,000 plus very good holiday allowance (x 38-days per year), 2-days per week in the office hybrid working, short working hours and an amazing pension, plus Healthcare, Life Assurance etc.
