Job Summary:

Andrew Smith Funeral Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Funeral Service Operative to join our team. As a Funeral Service Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our funeral services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in funerals as a Chauffeur or Pall Bearer
  • Participate in the 24 hour on-call rota
  • Carry out transfers of deceased persons
  • Care and presentation of deceased persons
  • Lining and fitting of coffins
  • Valeting the fleet of vehicles
  • Assist with housekeeping duties to ensure that the premises are maintained in a clean and serviceable condition, including maintaining and cleaning the mortuaries

Requirements:

  • Keen desire to work within the funeral profession
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Professional, caring and empathetic disposition
  • Smart personal presentation

What We Offer:

  • 25 days holiday, plus public holidays
