Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Safety Assurance professional to join our team at Gold Group Ltd. As a Senior Software Safety Assurance Lead, you will be responsible for leading our Software Safety Assurance capability and developing our early careers team members' skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting Safety Assessments throughout the full lifecycle on software or programmable element safety systems.
  • Developing Functional Safety strategies across multiple industries and applications.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior members of staff.
  • Providing technical leadership on projects, assisting with tenders and quotations.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and actively aiming for repeat business.
  • Supporting recruitment, training, and mentoring.
  • Leading business-winning activities, account management, and growth.
  • Supporting the definition and achievement of business objectives.
  • Exploring prospects for alliances and partnerships to exploit new opportunities.
Requirements
  • Experience and knowledge of applying the following safety standards: IEC 61508, 62061, 61511, Def STAN 00-055, ARP 4754A, DO-178C, or DO-254.
  • Experience of working with systems and software engineering processes, techniques, or languages.
  • Experience within one or more of the following defence domains: Air, Land, Sea, Ordnance, Munitions, and Explosives, or Nuclear.
  • Previous consultancy experience.

  • Strong customer focus, able to easily elicit and understand requirements, build professional relationships, and be trusted to deliver.
  • Articulate and effective communicator, able to clearly present information verbally and within written reports.
  • Organised nature, able to work autonomously, juggle tasks, work within budgets, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
