Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Product Design Engineer to join our team. As a Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing new and existing products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new and existing products, including CAD design, technical drawings, and design for manufacture (DfM)
- Collaborate with Electronics and Software engineers to create successful products
- Produce and check product documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications
- Follow and contribute to the development of best practice guidelines and industry standards
- Support production staff with assembly instructions and direct support during manufacture/assembly
Requirements:
- Design/Engineering Degree
- Ability to manage your own workload and work to deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Report collating and writing
- Experience of working within a manufacturing company or design for manufacture (CNC, Injection moulding)
- Competent CAD software skills (Solidworks preferred)
- Industry experience from either Hazardous area systems, Automotive, Aerospace, Medical industry or any other standardised industry
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Aerospace experience
- Prototyping (3D printing, Workshop Skills)
- Lighting/optics experience
- Experience working within a manufacturing company
